Typical checklist
Most students need some or all of these. Ask your instructor which of them apply in your case.
- driving-licence application
- valid identification
- approved photo
- medical certificate from your own doctor
- first-aid certificate – sent to the municipality automatically after the course; it must be approved before your practical test and be no more than one year old
- consent for a student under 18
- additional authority documents in special cases

Keeping sensitive documents safe
For your security, please keep CPR numbers, health information, passport copies and payment details out of email and the normal contact form. When one of these is needed, hand it to your instructor in person or bring it with you to your location.

Foreign licences and special cases
Foreign-licence cases often need different documents, so plan the route early. Start with our exchange or regain guidance, get the authority’s decision, and we will match the training to it.
Frequently asked questions
When do I need a medical certificate?
A medical certificate is needed for a first car or motorcycle licence. You get it from your own doctor (250–500 DKK) before the application is submitted.
